* I’m announcing some spoilers in the following review, so if you haven’t read it and would like to get a feel for it on your own, avert your eyes from this post =P *
Ednah is an amazing writer, I’ll give her that!!! She knows how to make a readers crabby, by not giving him/her enough details and at the same time, keep them turning pages to see what hell is going on!
I’m kind of glad Eirik isn’t present that much in this book, although when he is, he brings a lot of questions with him, not only from the other characters, but also from the readers!
But, focusing on the young couple, Raine and Torin, they’re kind of exasperating here and there with all their frolicking… I mean, just get it over with and focus on the whole world coming to an end thing, am I right? =P
Torin goes more and more overboard with the whole protecting Raine thing, so when Walters seeps in parts of his story and gets him looking vulnerable, I was ecstatic & intrigued, because it finally showed him as a man, as a person, not an all-time saint!
The new development with Raine’s connection to Mother Nature is even more awesome! =D Although, I can see why that would become a problem further into the series. Actually, the ending made me smile with anticipation, foreseeing a turn of situations and a roller-coaster relationship soon (serves Torin right for being such a dictator sometimes!).
Seeress was an awesome get-away from reality this week and I’m recommending it wholeheartedly!!! ❤
If you haven’t read the other books, you might want to start with Runes, then Immortals, continuing with Grimnirs (although it’s Cora’s story, it will give you a bridge between Immortals and Seeres, because there are some important events going on there and trust me, you want to know what happens, from beginning to end in this series!).
